How do I put the password on the laptop

If you want to protect your unauthorized access laptop, you may want to put a password on it, without which no one will be able to enter the system. This can be done by several methods, the simplest method – setting the password on Windows or setting the password on the laptop in BIOS.

Password setting in Windows

One of the simplest methods to put the password on the laptop – setting the password in the Windows operating system. This method is not the safest (it can be easily reset or found), but it is good if you just want to put a password, so that no one uses the laptop in your absence.

Windows 7

To put a password in Windows 7, enter the «Control Panel», activate «icons» and open the point «User Accounts».

Then click «Create a Password for Your Account», set and confirm the password, then apply the changes.

That’s all. Now, every time you start the laptop before entering Windows you will need to enter the password. In addition, you can press the Windows + L keys on the keyboard, to block the laptop to enter the password, without stopping it.

In Windows 8 you can do the same thing as follows:

1. Enter the control panel – «User Account» and click the point «Make Changes to My Account in PC Setting».
2. By accessing this point you can set a password, and not only text, but also graphic or pine cod.

The next step is to find the section in BIOS, where you will be able to set the user password and administrator password (Supervisor Password).
